Come On And Blog Me!

his new, old, chair

Little Ethan is sitting pretty well, until he doesn't. Haha. He didn't fall hard, just climbing up into the chair is when gravity took hold of him. This is an antique nylon folding chair from at least the mid 80s. Its a huge hit, on his head. :)

another Cold Day Example

I was at a large pond area in North East Ohio here. Was scouting out a location for both a winter and a summer concept shot I had been wanting to work on for some time. I was being silly here with pre-visualizing the location. It was very very cold this day, I was surprised the water had not frozen over. The wind was blowing the top of the water in a very cinematic way. I'll try and pull up some video from this special location. Its the sort of visual that makes you shiver just watching it between the wind the water and the snow.

Cold Cold Day on Top of The Rock

This weather today reminds me of the night we shot this picture on The Top of The Rock. It was so super chilly and windy. Our hands were frozen and everyone else had a red nose that we could see. I think I shot this a year and a half ago?  And yet its hard to believe that on this past Saturday it was 50 degrees out while we were running around enjoying ourselves. The weather is a freak this year, I do believe I heard something about a monster snow fall coming? Or a deadly snow fall, or a snow fall of epic proportions. Remember when the news just said "snow" ? Ah such simpler times. :)

A fun Promo For the Day

I wasn't feeling so great yesterday and today I was resting. So I decided to make a small promo to keep my mind active while recuperating. :) Enjoy the seasonal views on this little one minute clip. Most of this was made exactly over the past year.  The music fits the visuals so well. Love the fun Beat Box and simple wood blocks tempo.

Free Lunch

Did you pack your lunch when you went to school? Particularly elementary and Jr. High? I think I had a combo of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and alternatively Cardboard Pizza at the School Cafeteria my entire time. I always wondered why school was free (assuming our taxes are what pays for school so not really free) but we didn't make school lunch free? I guess they thought it was the families responsibility to take care of this? Wouldn't it be great or have been great to just have lunch as part of your day without having to have it made or make it or bring money? I was thinking about money and kids and people in general when I started working on this project about money and food. I need some fresh insights or inspiration on this to continue. Its an interesting topic. I think I saw a story online the other day about how a kid owed for school lunches and the school shamed the kid with a cheese sandwich on plain white bread. Or some sort of non-sense. I think they said the kids family was by no means poor so they should have been able to pay. He said she said, I just thought it was another example of kids and school and money and food. I wasn't thinking about that particular story more than that. The news story wasn't in depth enough to really have told the whole story. But I want to work on this a bit more visually.
