Come On And Blog Me!

My Uncle Was a Vampire

Its that time of year when the scary movies come on, and I'm a big fan...especially of the classics. A couple weeks ago I was watching TV and Psycho 2 was on. Why someone attempted to turn a perfect Hitchcock movie into a sequel is beyond me.  But it inspired me to look up classic movie titles from the 50s and 60s. Many were very silly titles,  but The Thing That Couldn't Die got my creative juices flowing. Thoughts of doctors, scientists, labs, and beakers danced around in my head and helped me come up with a new project. This shoot made me feel like I was creating that thing that just wouldn't die...or maybe like I was working with Walter White :)

Just for fun, here are a few of my favorite 1950s Horror Movie Titles. Bride of the GorillaThe Brain EatersThe Thing That Couldn't DieTeenage ZombiesAttack of the Giant Leeches and Uncle Was a Vampire

How do we entertain ourselves?

We love to lounge around and have one another perform like a trained monkey over in this house! As you can see, being horizontal and having a good laugh is money in the bank. I should be transparent on this however, he was crying and/or whining a good hour before one of us "lost it" and tried "anything". It worked!

Its coming up on that time of year again, click here to see why

Summer flew by so quickly! I feel like I just had my first in-season strawberry and now I'm going to have to satisfy my berry cravings with corn on the cob and other fall foods. And before you know it we'll be knee deep in turkey and stuffing. When I found this old fashioned style TV dinner tray online, it inspired me to shoot this classic Thanksgiving meal with a retro twist. Pass the gravy, its getting time to think about the annual January gym rush! I hope this tempts your appetite, but I for one am going to miss my fresh lime margaritas.. Here are some additional food items I have shot that are just as fun ;)

Classic Rubber Ducky Shot

I see our little guy is getting more and more into bath time. He really enjoys a variety of toys as well. Just like a child to play with a toy in so many different ways. Here you can really see messing around with it like a hat. I'm kidding, I put that on his head and photographed him about 40 times trying to get the right shot. He doesn't seem to mind, he like repetition. :)

Birthday Boy

I cant believe its already been a year. I guess I finally say what I have heard all parents say through out my life in this same situation. Its amazing to put perspective to a year in time with your first child. Its seems both fast and slow. But mostly fast if you think about it from the perspective of how much and how quickly a little person grows and changes in that first year. Little Ethan is as happy and healthy as a little boy can be and for that we could not be more happy. This is to our little toddler for making it as easy on mom and dad as a little guy could without even trying. :)
