Come On And Blog Me!

Idle Worship- Produced by PennyPants Productions-- Directed By Samantha Satzman-- Poster Photography By Donald Bowers

A few months ago Jenny Paul asked me to help shot the cast members of Her Web Series Idle Worship. Of course I was interested as we had such good Luck with That Reminds Me. That being said, There is Great News, The Series was Selected as Part of the WWA--Web Series and Short Film Competition. That is their second Festival Acceptance and First International Acceptance. I am More than Happy the images Turned out so Great, But also The Overall Design is Fantastic.

Do you Ever Have Money $$ on You're Mind?

You may have noticed that there are TONS of articles about how often people think about sex throughout the day, but we rarely hear about how often people think about money and security. Probably due to the fact that love and sex are seemingly more fun and less intimidating than say planning for retirement.

Awhile back I came across this article Americans Think About Money More Than Sex, which ended up being my inspiration for this image. I found an old brain mold, likely meant for a spooky Halloween treat, put an old dollar bill inside and and filled it with clear Jello. And after watching a few too many episodes of Walking Dead I decided to slice it up. Bon Appetite!

Remember When You'd Do Anything for $5 as a Kid?

My nephews never cease to amaze me. I saw them over Thanksgiving and found that they will do pretty much any ridiculous thing I ask for some cold, hard cash (as you can see, this time it was taking a bath fully clothed). Shooting stock photography isn't always exciting, but the kind of unexpected silliness captured here makes my job a lot of fun. These two are bonafide risk takers that really encourage this Uncle/Photographer to take it up a notch. Thank you guys...the whimsy is really appreciated!

Hang In There

We visited Brooklyn Bridge Park this past weekend to walk the riverfront and check out a few playgrounds. It is really nice and worth the trip from Manhattan...especially if you take the ferry! Gorgeous paths to walk through and playground nooks surrounded by bamboo trees that really block out the city, giving you a feeling like you've been transported out of the chaos of New York. Here's our little guy hanging on and not letting go. He climbed everything the playgrounds had to offer but still wanted more, which is when he tried to climb the backside of this park bench. We will definitely be going back, and can't wait to visit water lab playground when it opens back up next summer!

A quiet moment on a Beautiful Sunny day in the Park

While shooting on location last week, I stumbled across this moment in Prospect Park. I love the tranquility in this anonymous moment. I imagined this person was very content and carefree, or so it seemed from her body language. Thank you random person for helping make this one of my new favorite atypical photographs.
